It is funny how the things we do to others, are often done to us.
I worked at job once where I would send emails to my boss and he was so busy he didn’t read them. So when he asked me about something I would say “I sent you an email about that.” Well that wasn’t endearing him to me, so I stopped that joke quickly.
Meanwhile I am helping another person and I ask him about something. He says the exact words to me and I said to my boss. “I sent you an email about that.” Yikes, that sounds really harsh to me.
I have noticed that everything that I do in my life usually happens to me. So I am shy to be a jerk because I know that eventually someone will be a jerk to me. I think we may have a right to get angry when people are a jerk to us if we haven’t first been a jerk in our own life in that way.
So the bottom line here is that what we do to others we should consider carefully. In life, we probably will have it done to ourselves as well.
